Ethereum Staking Hits Record High Amidst Declining Rewards
Ethereum staking has reached an all-time high, with a record 41.04 million tokens locked in the network. This represents 34% of the digital asset's total circulating supply.
The notional value of these deposited assets stands at $77.7 billion, down 40% from last year. Despite this decline, stakers continue to earn rewards, albeit at a reduced rate.
According to data shared by analyst Merlijn The Trader, annual validation rewards have fallen to 2.62%, while the issuance rate has risen to 0.842%. This reduction in returns may prompt investors to explore alternative yield options.
