Ethereum Staking Hits Record High as Institutional Demand Surges
Ethereum has reached an all-time high in staking, with approximately 43 million ETH deposited in the network's staking contract. This represents close to 35% of the total circulating supply.
The increase in staked supply has led to a contraction in the available liquid supply, which could have significant implications for Ethereum's price. According to CoinGecko, Ethereum is currently trading at $2,512.62, with a weekly gain of 0.9%.
BlackRock's request to launch an ETF that would allocate up to 95% of its ETH holdings to staking could further reduce the liquid supply and increase pressure on Ethereum's price.
