Ethereum Staking Ratio Hits New All-Time High
Ethereum's proof-of-stake network has seen a significant increase in staking participation, with its staking ratio reaching an all-time high of 34.4%. This milestone marks a notable growth from the start of the year when the ratio stood at 30%, according to data from Token Terminal.
The rise in staking participation is a sign of confidence in Ethereum's proof-of-stake mechanism, as well as a potential reduction in the liquid supply of ETH available on exchanges. Currently, approximately 40 million ETH are staked, making it increasingly difficult for anyone to control a significant share of the staked ETH.
The increased staking ratio may have implications for Ethereum's price trajectory, with market activity suggesting that it could contribute to its future performance. However, prediction markets show modest support for reaching higher price thresholds by the end of 2026, despite the increased staking.
