Ethereum Staking Surpasses 35% of Total Supply
The number of Ethereum tokens held in staking has surpassed 35% of the total supply, exceeding 42.9 million ETH. According to data from Fixygen on September 10, this represents 35.19% of the available supply. The Ethereum Validator Queue also shows that there are approximately 909,700 active validators on the network.
The queue for users waiting to add new funds to the validator network has grown significantly, stretching to nearly 33 days. In contrast, the withdrawal queue is relatively short, with only about 25,300 ETH in queue and a wait time of around 10.5 hours. This indicates a high demand for entering staking compared to exiting it.
The yield on Ethereum staking is approximately 2.59% per annum, varying depending on the amount of ETH used to support the network's operation. However, some staking protocols issue derivative tokens that circulate on the market, which may affect the overall supply of coins available for trading.
