Ethereum Steals the Spotlight from Bitcoin in Summer 2026
Ethereum's prolonged decline against Bitcoin has finally come to an end, according to analysts. A clear technical reversal is one of the key reasons why Ethereum is poised to steal the spotlight in summer 2026. Analyst Aksel Kibar identified a shift in the ETH/BTC pair, rebounding from a local bottom and climbing to a higher level.
Another reason lies in Ethereum's dominance in the tokenization sector. Data from analytics platform RWA.xyz shows that the value of traditional capital tokenized on Ethereum has reached an impressive $17.1 billion, far surpassing its closest competitors. This represents a direct long-term growth driver for ETH, as billions of dollars in transactions conducted by traditional businesses require fees to be paid in the network's native cryptocurrency.
The return of institutional capital is also a key factor. According to data from SoSoValue, Ethereum ETFs have experienced net inflows of $103.90 million over the week ending July 24, marking the third consecutive week of positive momentum. This has brought the funds' net assets under management to $10.17 billion.
