Ethereum Supply Squeeze May Push Price Past $1,950
The Ethereum [ETH] price has been trading in the range of $1,850-$1,950, but recent supply dynamics may push it past this level. A whale withdrew 5,300 ETH valued at $9.98 million from Kraken, reducing exchange balances and increasing demand signals.
Historically, such withdrawals decrease ready exchange balances when holders keep their assets out of trading platforms. However, the withdrawal alone did not ensure an immediate price reaction as the accumulated ETH might be inactive over a long period.
The spot market's buyer-dominant taker activity has strengthened Ethereum's accumulation narrative. Buyer dominance meant that takers had crossed the spread more aggressively to buy ETH than sellers had to leave.
Record staking constrains the ETH supply, with Ethereum's staking total climbing beyond 41 million ETH and absorbing over one-third of its circulating supply. The staking data placed the share of staked ETH around 33.8%, following a persistent climb throughout July.
