Ethereum Surges 4.4% as Institutional Buying and Staking Participation Soar
Ethereum's price continued its upward trend on July 27 as strong institutional buying and optimism surrounding upcoming upgrades lifted investor confidence. The second-largest cryptocurrency is trading near the $2,000 mark after attracting steady inflows into spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Record staking participation has also strengthened market sentiment by reducing available supply, with around 34% of all ETH currently staked.
The shrinking circulating supply and improving network fundamentals have provided strong support for ETH prices in recent weeks. Analysts believe continued institutional participation and technological improvements could further enhance Ethereum's long-term value proposition.
Developers are preparing the Glamsterdam upgrade, expected to significantly improve network performance and transaction capacity. This has increased investor optimism, with many believing that a sustained move above the $2,000 level could open the door for a rally toward approximately $2,350.
