Ethereum Surges as Analysts Back ETH Over Bitcoin
Ethereum's price has been gaining attention after breaking out of a bull flag, a chart pattern that often precedes a further increase. Market analyst MikybullCrypto believes the bigger rally has not yet started and that the strongest part of the move could still be ahead.
The recent breakout comes after Bitcoin spent much of the past year leading the market, while Ethereum struggled to keep up. However, some analysts see early signs that ETH is gaining strength again. One reason for this improved performance is the return of buying from large investors, with recent inflows into spot Ethereum ETFs in the United States showing that institutions are adding more exposure to ETH instead of focusing only on Bitcoin.
Ethereum continues to hold an important place in the digital asset market, being one of the biggest networks for stablecoins, decentralized finance, and tokenized real-world assets. This keeps bringing users and money to the network. Additionally, staking activity is increasing, with more ETH crypto being locked by holders, leaving fewer coins available for trading, while people who stake ETH earn rewards.
Market participant Tanaka also shared a take on Ethereum's price prediction, noting that it may have more upside than Bitcoin at current prices. The reason for the positive view on Ethereum is how the network is being used, with demand coming from more than one source: investors buying it, but developers, businesses, and network users also depending on it for daily activity.
Another bold view came from CrediBULL Crypto, who said Ethereum could climb above $20,000 over the long term. The target remains an opinion, not a guarantee, and depends on future buying interest and how the wider crypto market performs.
