Ethereum Surges Past $2,400 Mark as Institutional Funding Floods In

Ethereum's price has surged by over 30% in just seven days to reclaim the $2,400 mark and briefly top $2,500. The rally is attributed to a combination of factors, including a softening US dollar and moves by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to calm the bond market.

The influx of institutional funding, particularly through Ethereum ETFs, has been a significant driver of this price pump. Over the last week, more than $800 million has poured into these funds, with over $115 million coming in just the past 24 hours, according to data from SosoValue.

Notably, publicly traded tech and mining companies, such as Bitmine Immersion Tech (BMNR), have been aggressively buying Ethereum. BMNR added a whopping 32,447 ETH tokens to their corporate treasury, sparking an 8% increase in their stock price. Financial analyst Tom Lee has long advocated for this trend.

As the market's collective psychology shifted from selling on rallies to buying dips, sidelined capital rushed back into Ethereum, fueling its explosive move to $2,500. However, concerns remain about whether this is a short squeeze or a genuine trend change.
