Ethereum Surges Past Bitcoin as ETH/BTC Ratio Hits Three-Month High
Ethereum (ETH) has been gaining ground in recent months, outperforming both Bitcoin (BTC) and the broader cryptocurrency market. Over the past month, ETH's price has risen by a significant 19.6%, surpassing BTC's 5.2% gain and leading the top 20 cryptocurrencies.
One key indicator of Ethereum's strength is its ratio against Bitcoin, which has hit a three-month high of 0.030. This rise in the ETH/BTC ratio suggests that Ethereum is outperforming Bitcoin, often a sign of increased demand for ETH.
Thomas Lee, chairman of Bitmine, cited this breakout as a reason to raise their Ethereum holdings and equity buyback. He noted that despite concerns over the Clarity Act in 2026, the rising ETH/BTC ratio indicates strengthening crypto prices.
On-chain data also shows promising signs for Ethereum. The validator exit queue has dropped to zero, indicating no validators are currently waiting to withdraw their staked ETH. This is a significant improvement from September's peak of over 2.6 million ETH in the queue.
