Ethereum Surges Past Bitcoin in July, Fund Flows and Corporate Buying Drive Shift
Ethereum outperformed Bitcoin in July, gaining 19% compared to Bitcoin's 8% rise. This shift was driven by stronger fund demand and steady corporate buying.
The ETH/BTC ratio broke above 0.030 for the first time in three months before easing to 0.02962. Ethereum-focused funds took in $365.17 million in July net inflows, their best monthly showing this year, while Bitcoin ETFs managed only $172.43 million.
The launch of Morgan Stanley's Ethereum Trust (MSSE) contributed to the surge in ETF inflows, with the fund accumulating about $20 million in assets during its opening days. Corporate treasury activity also favored Ethereum, as BitMine added to its Ether stash every week in July.
