Ethereum Surges Past Bitcoin with 24% Monthly Gain as Institutional Demand Rises
Ethereum has outperformed Bitcoin over the past month, rising by approximately 24% compared to Bitcoin's 8% gain. This resurgence is attributed to increased institutional demand and ongoing inflows into spot Ethereum ETFs.
BitMine Immersion Technologies has further strengthened its position as the largest publicly known corporate holder of Ethereum with a recent purchase of 9,946 ETH. The company now holds approximately $11.2 billion worth of Ethereum at current market prices, bringing its total holdings to 5,787,414 ETH.
BitMine's Executive Chairman, Tom Lee, highlighted the improving strength of Ethereum relative to Bitcoin, noting that the recent surge in the ETH/BTC ratio reflects this trend. He also identified key resistance zones for Ethereum at $2,000 and $2,500.
