Ethereum Surges to $2,548 as Crypto Rally Continues
Ethereum's price has surged to its highest level in months, reaching $2,548. This rebound is largely due to the ongoing crypto market rally, with Bitcoin jumping to $77,000 and other top tokens experiencing double-digit gains.
The spot Ethereum ETFs have seen significant inflows, adding $697 million this week, while technical analysis shows a golden cross pattern has formed, indicating a bullish breakout over time. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is also in the overbought level of 78, suggesting further momentum.
Investors are buying Ethereum, with whales accumulating coins through dollar-cost averaging. Tom Lee's BitMine has purchased nearly 6 million coins in the last 12 months and intends to hold them for staking revenue. As a result, ETH tokens in exchanges have fallen, indicating investors are moving their coins to self-custody.
The main risk is that the rebound could be a dead-cat bounce, where assets jump sharply but resume the downward trend. Nevertheless, the next key target to watch will be at $3,000, about 25% above the current level.
