Ethereum Surges to New Heights: What Drives its Future Growth
Ethereum, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency, has experienced monumental growth in its 11-year history since its launch on July 30, 2015. The first price of ETH when it became available for public exchange in early August 2015 was $2.77.
Vikas M Sachdeva, CEO of BitDelta India, stated that Ethereum's biggest achievement is proving that blockchain can be more than just a value transfer technology. By introducing smart contracts, it opened the door to innovations like DeFi, stablecoins, tokenisation, NFTs and decentralised applications.
Eleven years on, Ethereum continues to drive innovation and shape the future of digital finance. Its price will depend on a mix of technology, adoption, and market confidence. Greater institutional participation, growth in tokenisation, stablecoins, and real-world asset use cases are expected to strengthen demand for Ethereum.
