Ethereum Surges to Ten-Week High as ETH/BTC Ratio Breaks Above 0.030
Ethereum (ETH-USD) hit a ten-week high on Monday, reaching $1,970 after opening at $1,953.02, up 4% against Sunday's open. This is the strongest relative session Ethereum has delivered against Bitcoin in three months.
The gap in performance between the two assets is notable, with Ethereum gaining 5% over the past week compared to Bitcoin's 1%. Since June 29, Ethereum has climbed 24%, while Bitcoin is up only 10%.
The catalyst for Monday's rally was macroeconomic rather than crypto-native, driven by the United States and Iran pausing strikes, Brent crude collapsing, and the probability of a Federal Reserve hike falling. Every levered risk asset caught a bid, and Ethereum carries more beta to that impulse than Bitcoin does.
