Ethereum Surpasses Bitcoin in User Adoption with Record 182 Million Wallets
Ethereum has surpassed Bitcoin in terms of user adoption, according to new data from on-chain analytics firm Santiment. The Ethereum network now boasts a record 182.74 million non-empty wallets, a figure that is more than three times the count on the Bitcoin network.
This milestone marks a significant achievement for Ethereum, which has been steadily gaining ground on its competitors over the past decade. In fact, the platform surpassed Bitcoin in this metric back in 2019 and has since accelerated to reach new heights.
The gap between Ethereum and other major blockchains is substantial, with Tether holding third place at 12.96 million addresses and Dogecoin, XRP, USDC, and Cardano following closely behind.
