Ethereum to Outshine Bitcoin in Next Couple Years: Tom Lee Predicts
Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat, believes Ethereum will gain on Bitcoin in the next couple of years. He made this claim as his company, Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR), disclosed the purchase of 28,086 ETH to reach 4.9% of ETH's supply.
The company bought these tokens at $2,495 per, valuing the total stash at approximately $14.8 billion. This purchase brings Bitmine's total holdings to 5.93 million ETH and puts it close to the 'Alchemy of 5%' mark.
Lee attributes Ethereum's potential growth to tokenization and agentic AI. He sees tokenization as proof that Ethereum is more than just a speculative asset, citing the network's storage of over $12 billion in tokenized U.S. Treasury products.
