Ethereum Tokenization Reaches $17 Billion Amid Rising Active Addresses
Ethereum's tokenization of real-world assets has surpassed $17 billion in value, according to on-chain data. Despite ETH price remaining stagnant over the past four weeks, Ethereum's Distributed Asset Value (DAV) has grown to $17.36 billion as of August 14.
The DAV represents RWA tokens using the blockchain as a distribution layer and has seen a 0.5% increase over the last 30 days. This solidifies Ethereum's lead in tokenization, with its Represent Asset Value (RAV) reaching $91.11 million, up 19.43% in the same period.
The rising demand for tokenization on the Ethereum network has led to an increase in RWA holders, now at 223,858, representing a 4.99% uptick over the past 30 days. The associated RWA transfer volume reached $13.32 billion, up over 18% in four weeks.
The growth of tokenization on Ethereum coincided with an increase in active addresses, which rose from 373,113 to 476,048 over the same period. This could potentially fuel further growth and reduce selling pressure on the ETH price.
