Ethereum Trades Sideways Amid Building Institutional Demand
Ethereum (ETH) has been trading sideways around $1,901 on Friday, hinting at a potential breakout ahead. Persistent institutional demand is building beneath the surface, with US-listed spot ETH ETFs recording an inflow of $195.34 million through Thursday.
Large and small cohorts' wallets show a clear divergence, according to CryptoQuant's report this week. The (1K, 10K) ETH cohort peaked in January but has since fallen, while the (10K, 100K) balance cohort has accumulated relentlessly, rising from about 14 million in mid-2025 to record highs near 19.6 million on Wednesday.
Realized Price Bands show that Ethereum trades below its realized price of $2,450, with a similar distance from its lower band realized price as it did at the bottom in early 2025.
