Ethereum Transaction Records Set Amid Decline in Active Users
Ethereum's mainnet processed an unprecedented number of transactions in Q2 2026, reaching 203.9 million, a 68.4% increase from the same period last year.
Despite this growth, the network saw a 30% decline in monthly active users to 9.2 million, indicating that while transaction count and capacity strengthened, user activity did not follow suit.
The surge in transactions led to an all-time high average transaction capacity of 25.9 TPS, according to Token Terminal data shared by Wu Blockchain.
