Ethereum Whale Makes Another $19M OTC Purchase Amid Price Surge

A significant Ethereum whale has made substantial over-the-counter (OTC) purchases in recent weeks. According to blockchain data, this 'whale' acquired an additional 10,000 ETH through OTC transactions approximately 10 hours ago, valued at around $19.1 million at the time of execution.

This latest purchase follows a series of earlier acquisitions by the same wallet. About two weeks ago, it bought 27,000 ETH in transactions worth roughly $52.03 million based on reported values.

The accumulation comes as Ethereum's price surged past the $1,900 mark, with the asset currently trading at $1,914, a 2.5% increase over the past 24 hours.
