Ethereum Whales Accumulate Record Amounts Since Mid-2025
Large Ethereum wallets have been accumulating significant amounts of ETH since mid-2025. According to CryptoQuant data, whale cohorts holding between 10,000-100,000 ETH accumulated 5.6 million ETH during this period.
The daily inflows into accumulation addresses rose steadily throughout the back half of 2025 and reached a record high of 1.14 million ETH in November 2025. The balance held by accumulation wallets also increased, rising by 6.5 million to 26.55 million ETH from 20.1 million ETH on January 1.
These trends continued into 2026, with the average daily inflows into accumulation addresses averaging 200,000 ETH per day. The staked ETH supply has also reached a record high of 37.85 million, according to Dune data cited in Cointelegraph's report.
