Ethereum Whale's WBTC Buying Spree Continues Amid Market Recovery
A major Ethereum whale has continued its aggressive accumulation strategy, making large purchases of Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) alongside ETH. According to on-chain analytics platform Ai Yi, the investor withdrew 120 WBTC from a cryptocurrency exchange in the last two hours, transferring approximately $7.8 million worth of assets to a private wallet.
This move is seen as a continuation of the investor's strategy throughout July, where it purchased a total of 59,404.19 ETH and 820 WBTC. At current market prices, the total value of these assets has reached around $156 million, making it one of the largest individual on-chain accumulations in recent weeks.
Experts emphasize that large-scale transfers can occur for various reasons, such as portfolio rebalancing or changing custody solutions. However, some market participants see this transfer as a positive development, indicating institutional confidence in Ethereum and Bitcoin.
