Ethereum's 11th Anniversary Sees Surge in Demand and Record Staking
Ethereum's 11th anniversary is being celebrated by investors and enthusiasts alike. The milestone has seen an increase in buying interest, with BlackRock clients adding over $20 million worth of ETH to their portfolios. This surge in demand comes at a time when the network is experiencing growth, with Ethereum staking hitting a record high of 40.2 million ETH, valued at over $63 billion.
The recent whale activity has also added to the excitement, with a wallet identified as 0x2d59 withdrawing 40,000 ETH worth approximately $76.58 million from Binance. While the intention behind this move remains unknown, large exchange withdrawals are often viewed as a positive sign.
Raj Karkara of ZebPay believes that Ethereum's evolution from an ambitious vision to a thriving digital ecosystem has strengthened its long-term sustainability. The transition to Proof-of-Stake and scalability improvements have been key factors in this growth, according to Karkara.
