Ethereum's ETH/BTC Ratio Rises 25% Amid Golden Cross Signal
Ethereum has outperformed Bitcoin over the past two months, and a new technical signal suggests that this relative strength could persist. According to CoinDesk, the ETH/BTC ratio has risen about 25% since its June 6 low, indicating Ethereum's stronger gains versus Bitcoin.
A golden cross has formed on the ETH/BTC chart as the 50-day moving average crossed above the 200-day moving average, typically a sign that an uptrend may continue. However, this pattern is not a definitive guide to future moves, and past instances have produced mixed outcomes.
The ETH/BTC pair rose about 36% after a golden cross on July 25 last year before reversing into a steeper decline. In contrast, other golden crosses did not lead to gains, and the pair fell shortly afterward. This means that traders should be cautious when interpreting this technical signal.
