Ethereum's Glamsterdam Upgrade Pushed Back Again to October 6-24

Ethereum's Glamsterdam upgrade has been pushed back yet again, this time to October 6-24. The latest delay comes after a series of issues plagued the development process, including a consensus bug in Devnet-8 and a finalization problem in Devnet-9.

The devnet phase has run longer than expected, with nine sequential tests between late March and early September. However, four specific problems have kept Glamsterdam from running cleanly on a private devnet: the finalization issue, the consensus bug, EIP-8037's execution-layer problem, and Devnet-11 replacing Devnet-10.

Developers tentatively set October 6 at 13:53 UTC as the activation date for the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Sepolia testnet. However, given the history of delays, many are skeptical that this target will hold.
