Ethereum's Price Drops to $1,844.64 Amid Market Volatility
Ethereum's price is currently at $1,844.64 per token, marking a $21.29 decrease from yesterday morning and a drop of approximately $1,650 compared to one year ago.
The cryptocurrency, which is the second-largest by market capitalization with a value of around $233 billion, has seen its price fluctuate significantly over the years.
Its initial coin offering (ICO) launched in 2014 for just 31 cents per share and since then, its value has increased by more than 60,000% - although it's worth noting that Ethereum reached nearly $5,000 at its peak in August 2025, representing a growth of over 1.6 million percent from its original ICO.
The price of Ethereum can be influenced by various factors such as investor speculation, network usage and decentralized finance adoption, economic health, regulations, and competition from other blockchains.
