ETHGas Price Drops 92%, But Bullish Signals Emerge
The price of ETHGas, which tracks gas fees on the Ethereum network, has dropped by more than 10% in the past 24 hours. This decline is reflected in a significant decrease in trading volume, down by 49% to around $20 million.
According to the source, the intrinsic value of GWEI is linked to Ethereum gas fees, which were falling despite ongoing upgrades. As a result, interest in GWEI declined, leading to a loss of trader interest and a subsequent price drop.
The token's core utility and speculative demand evaporated as fees traded at an all-time low of 0.042 GWEI. This level indicates minimal network congestion and user demand.
High fees were seen in NFT sales, suggesting that demand on the Ethereum network is leaning towards this sector. Both institutions and retailers were selling GWEI due to its low demand, with over 50 million tokens worth around $1.4 million sold in 24 hours.
