EU Adds 12 Companies to MiCA Regulatory Framework
The European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulatory framework has released its fourth post-deadline update, which includes 12 new companies to be added to the list of firms that will need to comply with the regulations. This move is seen as a significant step towards establishing clearer guidelines for the crypto industry within the EU.
The updated MiCA list now comprises 23 companies in total, with the recent additions including Bitpanda, Binance, and Crypto.com. The regulatory framework aims to provide a comprehensive set of rules governing the sale, marketing, and distribution of cryptocurrencies across the European market.
The inclusion of these new firms on the MiCA list is expected to bring about greater transparency and accountability within the crypto industry, as well as increased protection for investors.
