EU Adds 12 New Crypto Firms to MiCA Register Amid Plans for Stronger Oversight

The European Union has updated its register of authorized crypto-asset service providers (CASPs) under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. The latest update adds 12 new CASPs to the list, bringing the total number of authorized firms to 321.

Among the new additions are German cooperative banks Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Oberbayern Suedost and VR Bank Schleswig-Holstein Mitte, as well as Spanish firm Basque Pay. French companies Finary, Woorton, Blockchain Process Security, and Shares Financial Assets have also been added.

ESMA has also listed three Italy-based companies that are not authorized under MiCA: Servo Lendisco, Flandenzo, and Corona Fondenza.
