The European Union has introduced a transaction ban on 14 crypto platforms, effective from August 23, 2026. This measure is part of the EU's 21st sanctions package against Russia, which was adopted by the Council of the European Union on July 23, 2026.

The affected platforms include HTX (Huobi Global SA), EXMO Ltd, Rapira, Aifory Pro (Sooty Ltd.), ABCeX (Nueva Cryptologia S.A.S. de C.V.), WhiteBird, NoOnecrypto INC., Tradex (Brightum LLC), Monease Ltd, BitPapa, Exnode and Exnode Pay (Arvix).

The ban prohibits individuals and companies within the EU's scope from conducting any business with these platforms. This means that deposits and withdrawals, trading, payments into an account there, and making funds or crypto assets available to the listed platform are all prohibited.

Binance has also announced that it will prevent transactions with eleven crypto platforms from August 23, among them HTX and EXMO. The exchange justified the step with recent regulatory developments, without naming a specific measure.
