EU MiCA Registry Hits 309 as Binance Faces Fresh Regulatory Setback
The European Union's MiCA regulation continues to shape the continent's cryptocurrency industry. The number of licensed crypto service providers has grown, reaching a total of 309 as per the official registry.
This growth in regulatory adoption is evident across Europe, with several countries participating in the latest licensing expansion. Germany and Denmark recorded the highest number of newly authorized CASPs during this update, each adding three licensed firms.
Regulators have also been tightening oversight on companies that have yet to fully align with the new framework. This was exemplified by Binance's Android application disappearing from Google Play in several European Union member states.
