EU Sanctions Force NoOnes to Shut Down Peer-to-Peer Trading Platform
NoOnes, a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading platform, has announced it will shut down due to EU sanctions disrupting its operations. The platform was added to the European Union's sanctions list related to Russia and lost key partners as a result.
The business drawdown began on August 17, with services including swaps, fiat withdrawals, gift card sales, and the Bitcoin Lightning Network being phased out. After that, the platform will only support withdrawals, and users are advised to withdraw their assets by August 23.
This situation highlights the growing impact of international sanctions on cryptocurrency platforms. The EU's sanctions have targeted crypto services that could be used to circumvent restrictions, affecting NoOnes' ability to operate normally.
