EU Slaps Sanctions on Georgian Oil Terminal and Crypto Platforms

The European Union's 21st sanctions package targets the Kulevi oil terminal in Georgia and several cryptocurrency platforms.

The package includes a six-month grace period for the Kulevi refinery, which processes and sells Russian oil. After this period, transactions with the refinery will be banned unless it changes its business practices.

The EU has also imposed transaction bans on 14 cryptocurrency platforms based in Georgia, Panama, the United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and the Marshall Islands.
