Euro Stalls as Investors Await US NFP and Inflation Print
The Euro has stalled above $1.1600 against the US Dollar due to investors' cautious stance ahead of the US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) release.
A strong NFP report may give a slight boost to the US Dollar, but is unlikely to push the Federal Reserve committee towards a rate hike unless followed by a strong inflation print, according to analysts at TD Securities.
The Eurozone Retail Sales data for July is expected to show a 0.3% increase, reversing June's 0.3% drop, while European Central Bank member Philip Lane may reiterate the bank's readiness to hike interest rates further during his press meeting.
