The European Blockchain Convention (EBC) returns to Barcelona for its 12th edition, bringing together key players in the industry just eleven weeks after the implementation of the MiCA regulation.

MiCA, the world's first comprehensive cross-border digital asset regulation, has set a clear framework for the European market. The focus now shifts to CASP licensing, stablecoin issuance, and the role of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) in cross-border settlement.

The EBC12 event takes place on September 16-17, 2026, at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya. It is expected to attract over 5,000 attendees from 90+ countries for two days of market intelligence, strategic networking, and commercial momentum.

Banks such as Deutsche Börse, which has invested $200 million in Kraken, and Santander's digital bank Openbank will be among the institutions discussing what comes next. Eighty of Europe's top 100 banks are expected to attend, up from 50 last year.
