Exmo Closes Platform Amid UK Sanctions Disruptions
The cryptocurrency exchange Exmo is closing its platform as part of an orderly wind-down. The company announced in July that new account registrations are closed, new deposits are no longer being processed, and trading is restricted to closing positions only.
This means that users should not assume the advertised 20% discount on all trading fees is currently available for new registrations through the referral code '2713544'. The code is part of Exmo's historical referral program, which allowed users to invite new traders and receive a percentage of the trading commissions generated by their referrals.
Exmo's official announcement stated that sanctions affecting entities within the group had significantly disrupted platform operations. As a result, the company is working on distributing unfrozen assets to clients.
