F2Pool Co-Founder's Sudden Shift Sparks Selling Pressure Fears
Chun Wang, co-founder of F2Pool, has resumed transferring large amounts of cryptocurrency to Binance. In May and June, he withdrew approximately $160 million in Ethereum (ETH) and $61 million in Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) from centralized exchanges to non-custodial wallets and decentralized finance protocols.
This withdrawal was seen as a bullish signal, reducing the supply available in the immediate market. However, Wang's behavior has shifted with continuous deposits to Binance starting on July 2. The latest deposit of 3,345 ETH ($6.5 million) occurred on July 27.
The move from a long-term investor profile to a short-term trader has sparked concerns among investors and traders due to the potential increase in selling pressure. This change in behavior could lead to localized volatility in price action, affecting trading volumes across platforms.
