Fairshake-Backed Ads Flood Cable Networks in Push for CLARITY Act
Cedar Innovation Foundation, a nonprofit tied to the Fairshake super PAC network, is launching a seven-figure ad buy on major cable networks to promote the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, also known as the CLARITY Act. The ads aim to build public support for the legislation, which seeks to clarify regulatory ambiguities surrounding digital assets.
The campaign consists of three separate ad spots, each targeting a different pressure point. One ad attacks banks for opposing the bill while profiting from existing regulatory ambiguity. Another features endorsements from the AARP, framing the legislation as a tool to protect seniors from crypto-related scams. The third highlights support from law enforcement groups.
The CLARITY Act attempts to solve one of crypto's oldest regulatory headaches: determining whether the SEC or CFTC should oversee different types of digital assets. The bill has already cleared the House and made progress through Senate committees, with an initial vote scheduled for September 15, 2026. Banks have pushed back particularly hard on certain stablecoin provisions within the bill.
Fairshake and its affiliated entities have poured tens of millions of dollars into the 2026 election cycle to support candidates sympathetic to digital asset policy. The network commenced the general election period with over $122 million in funding, with key funders including Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Andreessen Horowitz.
