Fairshake Launches Nationwide Ad Campaign for Digital Asset Clarity Act
A nonprofit linked to Fairshake, a crypto industry super PAC network, is launching a nationwide advertising campaign in support of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. The bill aims to establish a federal regulatory framework for digital assets by clarifying the roles of the SEC and CFTC.
The act also includes anti-money laundering provisions to address lawmakers' concerns that lighter-touch regulation could enable illicit finance. Fairshake's financial backers include Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), which have collectively spent between $130 million and $196 million during the 2024 election cycle.
As of early-to-mid 2026, Fairshake entities held substantial cash reserves ranging from $122 million to $193 million. The decision to use a 501(c)(4) for the ad campaign is noteworthy, as it allows the organization to run issue advocacy without revealing its donors.
