Fairshake Spends Big on Primaries After Michigan Loss

Crypto-backed political action committee Fairshake has spent $1.5 million on primaries in three states after losing a key election in Michigan.

The spending comes from affiliates Defend American Jobs and Protect Progress, which have been advertising for candidates who support the CLARITY Act and GENIUS Act.

In Alaska's at-large district, Defend American Jobs spent over $500,000 to back Rep. Nick Begich's re-election bid ahead of the August 18 primary.

The committee also backed Republican candidate Sidney Gruters in Florida's 16th Congressional District and Rep. Harriet Hageman in Wyoming's Senate race.
