Fake Claude App Distributes Malware Stealing Crypto Wallet Seeds
A malicious application called Fake Claude App has been spreading malware that steals cryptocurrency wallet seeds and credentials. The app, described as fake, distributes RevStealer Malware to Windows users. This allows attackers to obtain sensitive information.
The group StopAndProtect has used nearly 2,000 compromised WordPress blogs to host the malware. Users are tricked into downloading a software update that actually contains the malicious code. Once installed, it can steal wallet seeds and credentials from infected devices.
