Fake Regulatory Filing Sparks Brief Price Surge in ASTER
A fabricated regulatory filing claiming BlackRock planned a 'Staked ASTER ETF' caused market confusion and a brief price surge in the token. The fake document, which was easily spreadable on social platforms, mentioned BlackRock and ETFs, sparking fast reactions from traders.
The rumor added to trader uncertainty as ASTER had been trading in a narrow price corridor near $0.90 to $0.95 for nearly three weeks. This zone has acted as support twice before, once in October and again in early November.
BlackRock's exploration of staking-related products in the Ethereum ecosystem fueled speculation about ASTER's potential benefits from similar attention. However, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao intervened with a clear clarification that the filing was fake.
After Zhao's statement, market focus shifted back to technical analysis, and no new catalysts are visible for ASTER's price movement. The token remains locked in its narrow trading band, without any signs of breaking free.
