Fanduel Predicts Ditches CME's Crypto.com for Faster Product Shipping
Fanduel Predicts has parted ways with CME Group's Crypto.com exchange, opting to move its sports and novelty contracts to Crypto.com instead. This decision comes after CME retained a majority stake in Fanduel Prediction Markets Holdings LLC with a 51% equity interest.
Crypto.com will now handle the majority of Fanduel Predicts' business, while CME will focus on providing financial markets data. The move is expected to allow Fanduel to ship products faster ahead of the NFL season.
This news follows a previous announcement that saw CME's chief executive Terry Duffy express concerns about prediction markets on sports being open to manipulation and potentially reaching the Supreme Court.
