Fantom's Sonic (S) Network Seeks Revival Through Improved Scalability
Fantom's Sonic (S) network is attempting to revive its reputation as a fast and scalable smart contract platform. The migration from FTM to S in early 2025 was meant to improve performance, developer experience, and long-term competitiveness in DeFi.
According to CoinPedia, the price of Sonic could reach $0.0457 by 2026 if adoption improves, with a potential low of $0.0036 and average of $0.0282. The network is focusing on reducing token supply through burning unclaimed S tokens and transaction fees.
The Sonic team has also announced a $150 million growth plan to expand its presence in the U.S., supporting ecosystem development, attracting institutional investors, and improving liquidity.
