Nigel Farage has been questioned over his investment in cryptocurrency after it emerged that he knew Russians were using it to evade sanctions imposed on them due to their invasion of Ukraine.

In a 2022 interview, Farage credited Russian sanction-busting investments for a 15% spike in crypto values despite acknowledging that Russians were using crypto to get around sanctions.

He invested £265,000 in bitcoin treasury firm Stack BTC, run by former Tory chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng, and has announced plans to liberalise the crypto market if his party wins power.

Labour have accused Farage of having 'serious questions' about his moral judgement due to his investment after knowing Russia was using it to break sanctions.
