Farage's Reform UK Secures Record-Breaking Crypto Donations of £72 Million

Share

Nigel Farage's Reform UK party has received another £36 million donation from cryptocurrency tycoon Christopher Harborne, just two days after receiving a similar amount from Ben Delo.

This brings the total amount donated by these two individuals to £72 million, sparking renewed calls for donations to be capped in British politics.

Critics argue that such large donations can distort the democratic process and give disproportionate influence to wealthy donors.

Richard Burgon, a senior Labour MP, warned that 'our democracy should not be for sale,' adding that his party would continue to push for a donations cap.

Farage responded to the criticism by saying he was honored and humbled by the pair's generosity, claiming it would allow Reform UK to compete with other major parties on a level playing field.
