Share

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Patrick Steven Yaroch was arrested for allegedly stealing nearly $1 million in cryptocurrency from foreign accounts.

According to court records, Yaroch accessed FBI systems to retrieve keys and transfer funds to his personal wallets approximately 10-12 times.

In a statement to investigators, Yaroch cited frustration with the Bureau's inability to disrupt adversarial assets, saying 'I took matters into my own hands.'

The investigation revealed that Yaroch was preparing to flee the US and had already obtained power of attorney for lawyers in Lisbon to secure a tax identification number.
