FBI Agent Fired for Alleged Crypto Heist

A former FBI agent has been accused of stealing nearly $1 million in cryptocurrency from accounts the agency was monitoring.

Patrick Yaroch allegedly committed the crime after becoming frustrated with the government's lack of action regarding the misuse of cryptocurrency accounts, according to court documents.

The FBI fired Yaroch and arrested him last week following his alleged confession when federal agents questioned him.

An agency spokesperson stated that the FBI holds its employees to the highest ethical standards and is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
