FBI Seizes $560K in Crypto from Hamas Network
The FBI has successfully traced and seized over $560,000 in cryptocurrency from Hamas' network. The seizures occurred in March, June, and October 2025, as part of a broader enforcement operation that also targeted online infrastructure in 2026.
Federal investigators used blockchain analysis software to connect transactions with donation addresses obtained from fundraising websites, encrypted communications, and human sources. They found that Hamas' military wing, the Al Qassam Brigades, relied on the same gas wallet to pay transaction fees across multiple wallets.
The investigation revealed how cryptocurrency was gathered from donation wallets, moved through operational accounts, and consolidated before reaching outside services. The network employed single-use donation wallets and bridges after initial seizure, but agents continued following funds across these services.
